Tip To Break Free From Negative Beliefs
For all things mind, body, soul, and spirituality
Have you ever believed that your current thoughts are your baseline of who you are?
What if your thoughts are primarily negative?
These thoughts can drive you even more during this time of the year - keeping up with job, society, culture, community, family expectations.
“I have no time to take care of myself because others depend on me to get things done.”
“No matter how hard I try, no one seems to be satisfied with me”.
“I can’t speak my truth because others will get hurt”.
These thoughts stem from belief systems that are not entirely true and based in reality. We may feel as though they are. But probably not.
Unfortunately, these belief systems drive you to believe that you are broken.
It’s a part of you that takes up a lot of space and can drive you to depletion sooner or later.
The key to healing this pattern is to know it’s a part of you, not who you truly are.
Who we truly are:
Compassionate
Curious
Loving
A being of service
Grounded
Safe
Nurturing
Clarity
Courageous
Confidence
Calm
Pause when you notice the negative beliefs come up. Notice the part of you being triggered.
Become the witnesser.
Take a few deep belly breaths.
Feel into what’s supporting you in the moment (the floor, the seat, etc.), and stay there as long as you can.
This pattern interruption may feel difficult and impossible at first, but with time, it becomes easier to notice and to shift from the place of being, rather than doing and acting from your activated part.
