The one thing I swear by...
For all things mind, body, soul, and spirituality
…there is no true end to healing. Healing is a journey, not a destination.
Daily exposure to toxins–air pollutants, people, food, fast fashion, beauty products, politics, media, etc– requires healing to be embedded into our lifestyle.
Our bodies are working very hard to stay alive. The daily exposure contributes to stress, anxiety, sadness, to mucus, migraines, fatigue, just to name a few.
I get it - It’s a lot to hold and think of.
This is not fearmongering - it’s a wake up call. A wakeup call to make healing part of your lifestyle. To be ready, present, and alert.
Healing doesn’t mean adding more supplements or exercises, if anything it’s probably doing less, and filtering out more what’s not in alignment for you.
Healing requires you to learn about the whole body.
Healing requires you to learn about your energetic body.
Healing requires you to learn about your own unique nervous system.
Not everything that’s out there in the wellness, mental health, and spiritual spaces, is good for you. You won’t know, if you don’t know your unique nervous system patterns.
As a trained trauma therapist, in modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, HeartMath, and many more, I know how important it is to teach clients the science of the whole body (and energetic body), and especially of their own. This is just a piece of the journey.
Learning about your own nervous system goes beyond practicing a small exercise you see on social media. It takes support and accountability from a trained practitioner in your healing journey.
As I always tell my clients, we are not meant to be in healing spaces forever, but we do need to be an active participant in our own relationship to ourselves daily and holistically.
So I ask you to reflect:
What action steps do you need to take now to deepen your relationship with your nervous system and whole body?
Are there ways you can interweave holistic healing in your lifestyle, if you haven’t already?
What are some toxic things that you are ready to let go of?
Talk to you soon! We are all in this together, and each time, we get better at being human.
